Smith & Wesson for Sale in Iowa
Smith & Wesson has been arming Americans since the 1850s, and the range shows it β from the pocket J-frame revolver your grandfather carried to the striker-fired M&P pistols on patrol today. We stock the M&P Shield and Shield Plus for carry, full-size M&P 9s for the range, the classic revolver lineup, and the M&P15 if you want a rifle. Everything transfers through a licensed Iowa dealer.

Revolver or M&P semi-auto?
A J-frame revolver is still one of the easiest guns to carry and the simplest to run under stress β no slide to rack, no magazine to seat. The tradeoff is five rounds and a stout trigger. The M&P Shield Plus gives you 10+ rounds in a gun that carries nearly as easy, with a much lighter trigger. For a first defensive handgun in Iowa, we usually steer new shooters toward the Shield Plus and send the revolver home with folks who want dead-simple.
The M&P trigger
Older M&Ps had a spongy trigger; the newer 2.0 and Shield Plus fixed most of that, and an Apex kit finishes the job if you want a crisper break. We carry the drop-in parts too.
