Key Features
- Stainless Steel 84M Action β The receiver, bolt, and barrel are all stainless steel, which means corrosion resistance in wet or humid conditions. Why it matters: You can hunt in rain, snow, or coastal fog without worrying about rust.
- Mauser Claw Extractor & Three-Position Safety β A controlled-round feed system that grabs the cartridge rim as it leaves the magazine. Why it matters: It gives you reliable feeding and extraction, even if you cycle the bolt fast or at odd angles.
- Pillar-Bedded Synthetic Stock β The Desolve Black stock is reinforced polymer with aluminum pillars for consistent bedding. Why it matters: This keeps your point of impact stable as temperature and humidity change.
- Factory-Adjustable Trigger β You can set pull weight to your preference without a gunsmith. Why it matters: A clean, crisp trigger makes it easier to shoot tight groups at distance.
- Muzzle Brake & Recoil Pad β The 22-inch barrel comes threaded with a brake, and the stock wears a 1-inch Kimber recoil pad. Why it matters: Less felt recoil means faster follow-up shots and less flinch.
Who It's For
This rifle is for the hunter who walks miles, not yards. It's light enough to carry all day, accurate enough to take deer or elk at 300 yards, and built tough enough to handle backcountry abuse. New shooters will appreciate the controllable recoil; seasoned hunters will like the familiar Mauser-style action.

FAQ
What scope mounts fit the Kimber Hunter Pro?
This rifle uses a standard dovetail rail machined into the receiver. Most 1-inch or 30mm rings designed for a dovetail base will work. I recommend Leupold or Warne rings for a solid fit.
Can I use this rifle for left-handed shooting?
The Hunter Pro is a right-handed action with a right-side bolt handle. Left-handed shooters would need to reach over the action. Kimber does not currently offer this model in a left-hand version.
Does the muzzle brake reduce recoil noticeably?
Yes. The factory brake cuts felt recoil by about 20β30% compared to a bare muzzle. It does make the report louder for anyone standing beside you, so ear protection is a must at the range.
What is the twist rate on the 22-inch barrel?
Per Kimber specs, the twist rate is 1:10 inches. That stabilizes bullets from 150 to 180 grains very well, which covers most .308 hunting loads.
